What We Want: Property of the Week - 368 Selby Lane, Atherton

After a brief hiatus, we're back at it again and are excited to share a fabulous off-market home in Atherton, California.  This 6 bedroom, 5 full and 1 half bath home has just under 13,000 square feet of living space on a little over an acre.

When we saw this home we knew it had to have been built by one of our favorite peninsula builders, Pacific Peninsula Group. PPG builds exquisite homes and this one is just that. Built in 2016, this home features three levels of living space with clean, transitional interiors. 

This home features an exquisite kitchen with large center island, top-of-the-line appliances, and a butlers pantry. We love the simplicity of design in this room. There isn't anything fussy and it's not too much. The warm white cabinets, bronzed lighting fixtures, large window, and muted tones create a timeless space that could be used for generations to come.

The kitchen is part of a larger great room featuring both a family room and a conservatory-style breakfast nook. 

The family room portion of this room features walls of windows, a stunning fireplace, whitewashed wood walls, and simple, modern lighting.

Upstairs, on the top floor of the home, you'll find the bedrooms. 

The designers of this home took that modern transitional style and carried it through the home in a cohesive way. We love the simplicity of the fixtures, the mixing of the metals, and are obsessed with the light fixtures and vanity mirrors.

As with any other large, new(er) home in Atherton, this home is gated and comes complete with a commercial grade security system and night vision cameras.

This home last sold in December 2016 for just under $20M and Zillow gives this home a current value of just north of $21M. We suspect with an off-market listing, the current owners might be looking for something a bit north of that. But even at $21M, this house is a standout value compared to others at that price point in Atherton -- not that anyone spending $21M on a home is worried about value.
